Privacy Policy

Packd Travel Ltd is the data controller for personal data processed through the Packd platform. For data protection queries contact hello@getpackd.org.

• Account data — name, email address, password hash.
• Trip data — trips you plan, travellers you invite, itinerary preferences.
• Payment data — a reference to your Stripe payment. Raw card details are never stored by Packd.
• Communications — emails you send or receive from us.
• Usage data — anonymised analytics about how the site is used, so we can improve it.

• To operate your account and deliver the trips you book.
• To process payments and detect fraud, in cooperation with Stripe.
• To communicate with you about trips, changes and support requests.
• To improve Packd — measure what works and fix what doesn't.

We rely on contract to deliver the trips you book, legitimate interests to keep the platform secure and to improve it, and consent for optional marketing where required by UK law.

• Payment providers — Stripe, to process payments.
• Trip suppliers — where necessary to fulfil a booking (e.g. traveller name lists for hotels).
• Infrastructure providers — hosting, database and email delivery services under written contract.
• Authorities — where legally required.

Some providers may process data outside the UK/EU. Where they do, we rely on transfer mechanisms recognised under UK GDPR (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).

We keep personal data for as long as needed to operate your account, run your trip and meet our legal obligations — then we delete or anonymise it.

You can ask us to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct data that's wrong or out of date.
• Delete data we no longer have a lawful reason to keep.
• Restrict or object to certain processing.
• Receive a portable copy of your data.

Packd is not intended for use by children. Where a trip organiser adds a minor as a traveller, they confirm they have authority to share that traveller's information with us and the relevant suppliers.
