How refunds work at Packd
Every Packd trip is put together from bookings with third-party suppliers — hotels, activity operators, transport providers. Whether a payment is refundable, transferable or non-refundable therefore depends on the terms of the underlying supplier bookings, plus any Packd service fee stated at booking.
Section 02
Before the trip is confirmed
Until the group deposit target is reached and the trip is confirmed, supplier bookings are not typically locked in. In most cases individual deposits can be refunded during this window, subject to any non-refundable Packd service fee stated at checkout.
Section 03
After the trip is confirmed
Once your trip is confirmed and suppliers are booked, refunds follow each supplier's cancellation policy. We will always tell you what is refundable, transferable or non-refundable in writing before you confirm any change or cancellation.
Section 04
When a single traveller drops out
Where possible we will help you substitute a traveller rather than cancel the booking. If substitution isn't possible, the outgoing traveller's payment is treated as a cancellation and refund rights follow the applicable supplier terms.
Section 05
When a supplier cancels
If a supplier cancels a core part of the trip, we'll first try to rebuild the itinerary with a like-for-like alternative. If that isn't possible, we work with you to refund the affected portion in line with the supplier terms and any applicable consumer-law rights.
Section 06
How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment card via Stripe, typically within 5–10 working days of approval. Timing beyond that is controlled by your card issuer.
Section 07
What refunds don't cover
Refunds do not cover:
- Costs you incur outside of what Packd booked (e.g. private flights).
- Insurance-eligible losses — please claim those from your travel insurer, in line with our Travel Insurance guidance.
- Any Packd service fee stated as non-refundable at checkout.
Section 08
How to request a refund
Email hello@getpackd.org with your trip ID and the reason for the request. We aim to acknowledge every request within one working day.
